I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Formerly, I was an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University.
My work focuses on developing statistically rigorous and computationally scalable methods for integrating and harmonizing complex biomedical data, and on training the next generation of biostatisticians to lead this research.
My current research interests are in data integration, with a specific focus on meta-analysis and transfer learning, shrinkage estimation, and methods that leverage recent computing and algorithmic developments for distributed estimation and inference. My current applications interests are in modeling brain functional connectivity, developing analytic methods for mass spectrometry imaging data, and harmonizing measures of physical activity and health.
